Fuse is built on a foundation of absolute privacy. We do not use user accounts, we do not track your file history, and your files never touch our servers.
Fuse uses WebRTC technology to establish a direct, browser-to-browser (or device-to-device) connection. Your files move directly from the sender to the receiver, and nowhere else.
No Accounts, No Logins
You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or log in to use Fuse. Because there are no user profiles, we hold zero personal identification data about you.
Your Files Never Touch Our Servers
We do not host, cache, or store the files you send. When you share a file, it is encrypted and streamed directly to the recipient using WebRTC.
No History Tracking
Fuse does not maintain any record or history of your transfers. We do not track what files are sent, the size of the files, when they were sent, or who they were sent to. Once a transfer is complete or the browser tab is closed, any local session data vanishes.
How the Connection Works (WebRTC Signaling)
To make a direct connection possible without a login system, a temporary "handshake" must happen:
Signaling: When you generate a sharing link, our signaling server temporarily passes necessary connection data (like IP addresses and session identifiers) between the two devices so they can find each other.
Instant Deletion: This data stays strictly in temporary memory and is immediately destroyed the moment the direct connection is established. We do not log or store this routing data.
Peer-to-Peer Security
Because WebRTC establishes a direct line between two devices, your files are protected by mandatory end-to-end encryption during transit. Please note that because this is a direct peer-to-peer connection, the receiving device will inherently be able to see your IP address to receive the data stream.
Changes to This Policy
If we update the underlying open-source protocols or web technologies powering Fuse, we will update the date at the top of this page. However, our core philosophy—no accounts, no servers, no history—will not change.
